A MESSAGE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF CHURCHILL, MANITOBA:
Here’s your situation now:
Your heating relies mainly on burning propane
Propane is very heavy
The only cost-effective way to ship it is by rail
The railway is not functioning due to costly repairs needed
No one wants to fund these repairs
Your homes will be very cold this winter
The cost of heating with propane is now more expensive than electricity. Moreover, harmful emissions are created during the process of burning propane
Propane is a fossil fuel and its use therefore contributes to climate change
Here’s what the situation could be:
You could use infrared heating panels to heat your homes
Infrared heating panels are a highly-efficient source of heat
Infrared heating panels are light in weight
Shipping can be done easily by air or even via Canada Post
Infrared heating panels are super-easy to install and require no maintenance
There are no emissions created by infrared heating panels
Infrared heating panels operate on electricity which, in Manitoba is created by clean hydroelectricity and is the least expensive of any province save Quebec. You will save up to 50% more than with propane heat.
You will also have a fire-safe source of energy.
Order today to have your panels installed before winter.

How we can reduce the impact of climate change
One of the most useful things we can do as individuals to lessen the impact of climate change is to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. The following article is a good example of this idea.
What can we do right now to slow climate change and make a real difference?
–Harlo Pippenger, Environmental Science major Answered Aug 28, 2016
The biggest things we can do are to switch to renewable energy, increase energy efficiency, and cut down on energy consumption. Right now the vast majority of our energy comes from fossil fuels which emit carbon dioxide and contribute to global warming. Anything we can do, as individuals or collectively, to replace fossil fuels with renewable sources will help to slow down climate change.
Electricity produced by hydro is one of the answers to reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. In Canada Some provinces and territories, such as British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec and Yukon produce over 90% of their electricity from Hydro. In Ontario, the percentage is 50%. (Source: Wikipedia).
By using infrared heating panels, we are doing our part to help lessen the impact of climate change.

Hydro Rate Increase May 5 2017
Manitoba Hydro has announced plans to raise hydro rates by 46% over the next 5 years. Rates in Ontario have already increased. Other provinces are likely to do the same.
Now is the perfect time to decrease your energy costs by installing energy-efficient infrared heating panels. Panels have no moving parts; no maintenance is required. No further costs are likely to be incurred. Replace your costly baseboards, boilers and old furnaces with infrared heating panels and lower your energy costs while enjoying the many benefits of infrared heating.
